Timber
Collection of robust furniture based on standardised dimension construction beams. By
combining different blocks, furniture with a surprising design is created. Because
traditional design rules are not necessary due to the stacking of the blocks, sculptural
objects are created that do not deny their function, but where the form is leading.
The standard production sizes and wide availability almost make you forget that each
beam was once a tree in a forest. Rounding all corners emphasises the wood grain,
showing the origin of the beam.
